PRESENTATION
The pianist Pascal GALLET made his first television appearance at the age of 10. Entered very young at the CNSM of Paris, he obtains several awards and follows the cycle of improvement in piano. His early years were crowned with numerous international competition awards such as:
Viotti, Porto, Trapani, Menuhin Foundation, Senigalia, Ministry of Culture in France.
Then, he began an international career as a soloist with the most prestigious orchestras in the world. Pascal GALLET had the privilege of seeing Olivier Messiaen very closely. He signed two excerpts from the bird catalogue for him.
He has given numerous master classes at the Superior Conservatory from Brasilia, the Hochschule of Kitzingen, Seoul University, the Academies of Belgrade and Nis, the International Academy of Nancy, Aix en Provence and most recently in Shanghai and Singapore.
Pascal Gallet has recorded many CDs in chamber music such as D'Europe, trio of d'Indy and Faure or Shostakovich with the famous quartet Enesco. His first solo recordings have allowed him to receive exceptional reviews. In particular, his interpretation of Turina was compared to the one of Alicia de Larocha. The CD Chopin for the bicentenary of his birth was fully appreciated.
The CDs dedicated to André Jolivet have a special place in the work of Pascal GALLET because he remains today the only pianist in the world to have recorded the entirety of his work for piano.
